Haines is a small town.  It lies between Juneau and Skagway.  It has a Winter population of 1700 people.

A Sheltered Harbor B&B

This is the Bed and Breakfst that we stayed at in Haines, Alaska. Our room was on the top front and side windows. There were also windos on a third side. Each group of windows faced mountains, the front ones faced both mountains and water.

High Tide

We could see the changing tides from our room. Haines has 24 foot tides, which can even go higher at times.

The entire dock is on dry land.

The ferry goes back and forth to Skagway during the Summer season.

This was taken from a car as we returned to Haines after a night time drive. The road skirted the water.

We attended a show portraying indian lore. The actors were students from the local high school.
